Built in 1966, the Lawson swimming pool provides a family and friendly environment for all to enjoy. It is a community staple - and it is saved for the 2026 season and beyond.

About the club

Make a Splash this Summer!

The Lawson Pool is now owned and operated by the Lawson Swim Club — a community-led non-profit. The pool has been an important part of our community for many years, 60 summers and counting. For us, this is not about the city versus the community — it's about the community coming together to help the city thrive.

Memberships, parties and everything else

Everything the club offers, from a season pass to a banner at the poolside.

Season Memberships

Single, couple, family and senior memberships for the 2026 season, bought online. Family memberships cover 3 to 6 people in one household, and a PLUS add-on covers a non-household family member or a regular babysitter.

Pool Parties

Reserve the pool before hours (10am-12pm) or after hours (8pm-10pm), any day of the week. Members pay a lower rate. Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome, and the concession stand can stay open for an additional charge.

Poolside Picnic Table Rentals

A members-only option during normal operating hours, by the table and by the hour. A good fit for smaller gatherings, birthdays and meetups without reserving the whole pool.

Business Sponsorships & Advertising

Mesh banners at the pool, a digital display ad on the rotating slideshow by the concession stand, and 30-second spots on the pool's own family-friendly radio station. The club can help with design and production.

Concession Stand

A full concession stand is open at the pool. Cash, card and Venmo are all accepted.

Donate & Volunteer

One-time and recurring donations go directly to opening, operating and maintaining the Lawson pool. Volunteer-action committees are open to anyone who wants to help.

By buying a membership you will be required to sign a membership agreement on or before your first visit of the 2026 season. Individuals must be 14 years of age or older to enter the pool premises and swim without an adult. Children under the age of 2 are free. There are no refunds at any time for membership purchases.

The poolside picnic tables and the swimming pool are both available for party reservations, within normal operating hours, before hours and after hours.

What is included

  • Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome - no glass
  • Simple decorations are welcome; no confetti or glitter
  • Non-swimming guests are welcome and are given a paper bracelet
  • The concession stand can stay open during your party for an additional $50.00

There are no refunds issued for cancelations made less than 72 hours in advance. Members and non-members can both make party reservations; members receive special pricing. Only members can rent poolside picnic tables during normal operating hours.

Morning hours are reserved for events, birthday parties, and any necessary pool maintenance. The last Friday on the regular schedule is 8/21; after that the pool is open weekends only. For holiday hours and weather closures, follow the club on Facebook and Instagram.

Good questions

FAQs

Do I have to be a member to make a party reservation?

No - members and non-members can both make party reservations, but please note members receive special pricing for party reservations. Only members can rent poolside picnic tables during normal operating hours.

Can I bring outside food, cake and/or drinks?

Yes! Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome for parties. Please do not bring any glass. We do ask that guests help keep the pool clean and dispose of trash properly.

Can we decorate for the party?

Absolutely! Simple decorations are welcome, but we ask that nothing be attached in a way that damages property. Please avoid confetti, glitter, or anything that may end up in the pool.

Can non-swimmers attend the party?

Of course. Parents, grandparents, and guests are welcome to enjoy the party atmosphere even if they aren't swimming. Party guests that are non swimmers will be provided a paper bracelet, to designate them as non-swimmers.

Is the concession stand open during parties?

It can be! If you would like the concession stand to remain open for snacks during your before or after hour party, please let us know. Understand, that to staff the concession stand and remain open, there is an additional $50.00 charge.

What is a poolside picnic table rental?

This is a reservation option during normal operating hours. Table rentals are a great option for smaller gatherings, birthdays, or meetups during normal pool hours without reserving the entire pool/party space.

How far in advance should I book my party or table?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends and holidays, as summer dates fill quickly.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

If you would like for your donation to be tax deductible, please reach out to us. The donation will have to go through the Lawson Community Foundation, if you are wanting the form.

Where does my donation go?

Directly to the Lawson Swim Club to assist us in opening, operating and maintain the Lawson pool.
